What is Wagyu and why does it taste so good? Simply put, Wagyu is a type of Japanese beef cattle breed. The name “wagyu” can be broken down into “wa” which means Japanese and “gyu” which means cow. So, Wagyu literally means Japanese cow. Wagyu are a horned breed and they are either black or red in color.

Every month at Mura, we host what we call a Roll Out Party. During this event we invite guests to sample various rolls and appetizers and to vote on our Feature Roll/App for the following month. Our talented sushi Chef Wol creates each roll and appetizer and puts his unique spin to each.

This month’s winner is the OMG.

January Feature Roll – Circa 2005

Every month at Mura, we host what we call a Roll Out Party. We invite a select number of guests to Mura to vote on our Feature Roll for the following month. Our sushi Chef Wol creates several different rolls and appetizers for our employees and guests to try. We open up the polls and let our guests vote for their favorite.
