Thursday, June 11th: Canaan James
So many things come into mind, when I think about what music has done in my life. The first musical recording I ever received from my mom, was Bobby Brown tape! I wore that thing out, and whenever I got into trouble, I’d say, “don’t be cruel” mom! She’d say, “why did you do that”!?? I’d say, its “my perogative”. I thought it was hilarious. She didn’t think it was so funny. I grew up listening to Foreigner, Europe, Def Leppard, then on the opposite side of the spectrum, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Engelbert Humperdink, and all those influences came from my grandfather.
